After researching how to get into an Ohio State football game, I came to ask one agonizing question: How does anyone besides students get in?! There are countless rules and regulations for getting your hands on a couple of Buckeyes football tickets. You practically have to jump through hoops to qualify for a season ticket application (and you have to be an alum of the school, from what I can figure out). But even alumni have to be an active, dues-paying member of the Alumni Association in order to have the privilege to buy two tickets to a home game that year. And the kicker—they don’t even get to choose which game, it’s assigned to them.
Upon crawling an OSU Football Tickets message board, I came across this story. An alum of OSU began applying for season tickets as soon as he graduated—in 1965. He still had to meet certain rules along the way. Since then, he’s been diligent to keep up with the changing rules for season ticket privileges because he almost lost the privilege after one rule change. So I ask, “When will the madness end??” If you’re just as confused as I was, try this: go to a reputable OSU ticket broker. They almost always have tickets when no one else does. You pay your money and get your tickets. It couldn’t be any easier.
